Chassis ordered....
I have bitten the bullet and ordered a chassis from Phil @ Talon.....
I'm getting a ready built chassis, as i am tight for time (I work offshore)..... I have most of the bits here to get it rolling so i'm looking forward to getting home and getting started. Though it may be a month or so till i get near it as i'm moving garage too.... So, thanks Phil for doing the hard work and giving me a bloody good deal..... Bertie. Bertie.

I have no probs sticking metal together....
I've been welding n fabricating for years... Its time for me, i have no set rota so can be away at short notice for 2-3 weeks at a time.... I'll have enough to do trying to fit a Peugeot engine etc to a roadster so this is putting me a step ahead.... Bertie.

What peugeot engine you using Bertie?
i was thinking away down the line the 406 V6 engine could be the way to go, they are cheap as chips with some power 215bhp standard. not sure if it would fit in a seven though |

I'm gonna start with a 1900 GTi engine (I have a couple o 2ltr engines here too). The plan is a big valve head off a 2ltr turbo'd engine, R1 bike carbs (custom manifold), Kent high lift/long duration cam, 1600 pistons to up the compression and a stainlees one pipe exhaust... The V6 is a good engine though i would choose the 2ltr turbo'd engine over it... I have messed about with the turbo'd engines and the last one was 340 Bhp, maybe too much for the haynes roadster... The guys that build the locosts in the states are all messing with yank lumps and 350hp would be pretty much standard running for them, so dont worry to much about it.
