![]() Hi guys, time for my next dull question. Is mild steel good enough to make the steering rack extensions from? I may be able to get stainless or silver steel if necessary.
Just to explain, i have to make my own bespoke ones as I'm using a BMW steering rack and my roadster is 4" wider than standard. Thanks! Sam

![]() Hi Sam
I would imagine that bright mild steel will be fine for the rack extensions ![]() Plenty about made of alloy too, probably need the right grade though ![]()
