1.8 CVH with Carbs Fuel regulator
Hi does anyone know what the regulator on a CVH 1.8 regulates to ? I am using bike carbs and these need 3psi but not sure what the standard CVH pump and regulator give

I was just going to use the fuel pump off the same bike as my carbs came from as I thought that gave you the right psi? Is the regulator part of the pump or something separate?

The regulator is separate from the pump, I have a bike pump as well but wanted to see if the standard CVH setup would work. Do you have any ideas where you might mount the bike pump ? I was looking at the back off one of the bottom roll bar fixings as its close to the tank but it would probably be easier under the bonnet

Not yet, I'm hoping davedew can answer when he comes on as he has a cvh setup and running with bike carbs. I think there would be space in the back end somewhere as it's not too big same as the bonnet but I was wondering from an efficency standpoint did it make a difference how far the pump was from the carbs? eg is it better to have it really close and pull the fuel a long distance and then push a short one so to speak?

Just did some research on the net and its a Fuel Vapour Separator not a regualtor so I guess I dont need it but will have to use the Bike pump

Would a bike pump keep up with the fueling requirements of the car?
might be better off with one of these,http://www.shawsmotorsport.co.uk/cub...p_facet_v2.jpg and then fit one of these to get the pressure right.http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...Pjo_Dm83t49e2A Bob
