Book Pedals
Having found that I bought an MT75 chassis (described as a type 9) I've now found that no standard off the shelf pedal box will fit the 30mm narrower footwell.
I never really liked the look of the book pedals, they don't look stiff enough to take the forces, and I'm already looking at needing to modify the design to something similar to the MX5 design for the hydraulic clutch on my gearbox. My line of thought so far is larger plates for the pedal mounts running both further up and down the bulkhead, and welding the assembly into the chassis. I'm also going to put in a second master cylinder with fixed brake balance. 5mm thick on all pedal verticals. Has anybody got any suggestions for other improvements that could be made? |
