![]() Well after much consideration I was lucky enough to find a donor just round the corner. It's a 1992 2.0 DOHC with MT75, runs well, pulls strongly and doesn't smoke. It has new starter, alternator and a few other bits. Best part is it has 5 15 inch Escort alloys, pristine with brand new tyres
![]() It has a set of 13 inchers as well, which will be sold. bloody stereo in it has to be worth a few bob so will hang on to that or flog it in me emporium - happy days!! So what the long term plan is is to get it through IVA with the DOHC then get a Zetec and go the whole hog on it at some time in the future. the DOHC is pre 95 so don't need a cat. Thanks to all the great peeps on here that have taken time to make me feel welcome. Thanks for not barking at me every time I ask a question that's been asked 100 times before. Enoch. |

![]() nice one Enoch, you don,t hang about do you
![]() enjoy stripping the donor down, remember to undo the rear hub nuts whilst the car is still on all 4 wheels...they are chuffin tight ![]() also cut out the vin plates & keep them safe, 1 under the bonnet & another close to the drivers seat, put the donor on sorn & DON,T tell dvla that its been scrapped, just keep it sorned , helps with paperwork time for IVA ![]() i best get cracking on mine as you will be finished before me ![]() cheers andy |

![]() HI Andy
Why do you undo the rear hub nut? You would only need to do this if your changing the bearings. Or do you mean the four bolts that hold the hub on? |

sorry missed this... yes you are correct, bit of both, i,ve replaced the bearing,s & its also worth undoing the the bolts holding the hub on as i found it an awkward part to "hold" whilst undoing the bolts. cheers andy ![]() |
