i,m no good at playing the drums but i manage a tune on my old school recorder...lol
for fitting the 8valve dohc speak to axle (on hear) he has done it but its not the easiest fit..
as previously posted most 8valve dohc motors were in disc braked sierras
and please beaware there are two types, solid and ventilated discs the ventilated were fitted on the more powerful variants xr,s and cossie,s etc
and it was a popular swop to fit the bigger discs etc
also the dohc sierras with abs had 260mm discs up front so there are endless possibilies of mix and matching your brakes to get your preference

oh and as for the plenum poking through the bonnet i have seen pictures of one cut into three bits horizontally, the middle bit discarded and the upper and lower bits welded back together .
it looked ok as well and worked ok so it can be done if bumps in your bonnet are not your thing
