Default Diff mounts

I've started grinding the welds back on the chassis before i paint it.
What i want to know is do i have to grind the welds flat where the diff brackets bolt upto or do the brackets clear the welds?

It depends on what shape your mounting plates are, offer one up or make a paper template and see where they touch.
