Had to reseat and rejubilee the top heater hose on the MK1 Golf this evening. It was only -5 outside....

I think your hose choice will be mainly down to personal preference and what you can source. The fewer joints the better.

Fit the nose cone if you have one and put the rad in to give you an idea of where to mount it,the inlet and outlet are close to the FF, position the rad for ease of fitting the pipes.

Nose cone and rad are fitted, im looking at how to plumb the system up and what i need to do it so i can order the bends etc from rally design in nice pretty silicon hose and the straights in beaded end ally. I dont fancy a trip to the hospital like AshG and Ginge!

For a locost fix Carl, you can get a beading tool from B&Q, Metal Oyster Kit, can be hard to find but should be available in the large warehouse stores. It's about £12 and will put a nice bead on s/s hoover pipe, or you can get ariel extension tube from B&Q which is cheap and good for the job. I believe Mark has just gone down this route to replumb his car. Put together a list of bends required and go to local scrappy.

Much cheaper than silicone bends and beaded pipe. Everyone has there preference but if you do a search on Locost for the Metal Oyster Kit there is loads of info.
