Default Fuel tank fixing

I'm making a steel fuel tank but does it have to be held to the chassis with a strap or can it have brackets welded to it?

Either would be ok.Westfiled use the strap method and Formula 27 use 4 brackets to bolt it down.Just make sure u sit it down on a strip of thin rubber.
