And I made the comment because you've received advice that the consensus of which is that it is better to use Sierra uprights, and yet you seem happy to go ahead with the Cortina units, I formed the impression that you felt your engineering background trumped that advice, if I was mistaken, I apologise. |

Hi all
Last night i spent a few hours on AutoCAD and have finalised that you can use the cortina front upright providing you extend the upper front wishbones by 54mm and remove the 8'degree angle for the camber adjuster. I have DWG drawings available that show zero bump steer using this setup. No other changes needed.

So the steering arm is located in exactly the same place in relation to the lower pivot?

The relation between the track rod end and the maxi ball joint is not the same as the relation between the joint in the steering rack and the wishbone mount. But after drawing the suspension with the sock closed and partly closed there are no changes in distance from the track rod ends to the chassis.

What affect does the wishbone lenght change and geometry change have on the roll centre?
