you'll be okay David as long as you have all the basics right, take plenty of spare parts and trim. We'll get the brakes and emissions checked tomorrow prior to going down.

Thanks for all the replies.

Had another disaster, went to my lockup to give it a bit of a clean and check things over, found the brake lights have stopped working!

The pressure switch has stopped working, if i can't get hold of one first thing, im going to have to mount a micro switch under the pedal somehow.

That will be the pre IVA gremlins paid you a visit, I always get a visit on the way to an MOT..

Reminds me.... I have two of them switches i need to pillage from a MK1 golf brake linkage...
