yes you may drive your car to iva as long as you have insurance. infact you can drive your car to any pre booked ministry of transport appointment with just insurance.
my iva centre is about 10 miles from me but if i go there through the lanes its about 11 miles but i will have more chances to use the brakes and get them bedded in. if it breaks down on the way then i will just go get the trailer it had a whole day of being hammered on the rolling road and didn't miss a beat once so im quite confident that it will make it. |

You lucky, lucky devils ....... My nearest centre is a 230 mile round trip
Test & re-test 460 miles of lugging a trailer ..... Going to be an expensive IVA for me !!??

Good luck with IVA. I’m shore it will sail though. Did you take it for MOT? I no you do not need it but it gives you a chance to dive it there and back. I booked one over 10 miles away. |

no i havent took it for an mot if i get time next week i may take it for one.
adrian what size were you rear drums? 203x46mm or 229x64? mine are the smaller ones with 20.6mm rear cylinders i did some calculations adapting your spreadsheet and i think the front rear bias should be ok. frankie did you have any issues with your braking? |

Hi Ash mate.
Finaly got back to the UK safe and sound. Best part of 500 miles of snow... My comp still up the shoot so borrowing Jills at the mo. I'll pop over tomorrow, assuming you're about and drop off that stuff. Yea I'm all up for the test next friday...8:00am Test though. Ya bu***r BTW my rear drums are 9"x 2.5" Don't know what the discs are, they ae still in the boot of the Escort.
