I sent him the map i had done for my cvh on bike carbs, not sure if he used it though

The one that comes with the megajolt will run it but its not the best, it runs out at 4700rpm which is no good

Mark,

thanks for the map - I am running that one. It worked nice on the rolling road producing better than standard bhp.

Sun was out today so took it for its official first legal run, fetched a little smile to my face, briefly before the wind tried ripping it off (no screen)

It did hesitate jsut before 4000 rpm, I think this is to do with the tweeking of the carbs to pass IVA. Needs another set up on the RR, sods law just found one less than 1/2 mile from me so going to give him a try.

Just hope its nice tomorrow, might sneak in few more miles.

I got my car tuned at a place called automark in the north east, he looks after some race cars for race teams and is a very knowledgeable bloke where engine tuning is concerned

He wrote the map for me, i was on zx6r carbs too

I think a standard cvh such as adrian h is running with a bolt on filter and free flow exhaust made similar power to mine on bike carbs but mine made much more torque, think it was around 140ftlbs which is alot for an old 8valve cvh, about 40% more than standard

Pm daddya to send you a copy as i am now using an st 170 so dont have the map on my megajolt anymore, if he cant send you it im sure i have it saved on a usb stick somewhere if i can find it! email me if he cant send it and i will try and find it for you.

when does the secondary throttle open on the cvh 2e3 Pierburg, I can't remember if it's mechanical or vacuum operated..

Great news on the pass daz. How come you had to adjust the emmisions? Would they not have been set on the rolling road?

Hi Dave,

when the car was initially on the RR it ran ok down low but when he give it some it leaned out so he drilled the jets out to 180 (i believe) to get it running ok. He did say it might need slight adjustment to get the emissions right for IVA/MOT.

It took some tweaking to get it near, and lucky for me it stayed in limits for the required time. The only thing thats changed since the RR is me fiddling with the mixture so assuming it as simple as getting it back on another RR with someone who's familiar with bike carbs. (not saying the last place wasn't but I'll try a newly found local fella).

I driven it but don't want to have a long run in case it knackers my engine. Can't afford the zetec replacement yet daughter getting married next year
