One sticks in my mind and its the one where they pull a Drott or D8 cat out of a hole with a large diameter wire hawser and one guy stands over it as they take the strain,flicks him ten feet in the air holding the crown jewels.

Jeeeeesus....you have just cast my brain back 20 years ago when i started my time.....was there not a fork truck video too when the lad stuck his hand out to operate a button ....kept going forward while his arm was attached to the button ???...Boys have got it easy now...those vids will be 18 rated now !!

I don't recall any vids during my apprenticeship (probably too old) but I do remember being shown some very graphic photos of what happened to a chap who sat on a truck wheel with split rim ring while he inflated the tyre. In short the rim ring came off and he was propelled at high speed to the ceiling 20ft above where he made a rather gruesome imprint of his bent and twisted body .

Glad you're going to sit on things for a while Dave, you know it makes sense

I talked the guy who does safety training at our union hall into inserting this into his curriculum. guys start out thinking it is serious, then suddenly they realize they have been fooled.
