These prices are as low as they are going to get I'm affraid, they are at least £75 cheaper than you'll find anywhere else.

Splash the extra £30, it will be worth it and the chances of finding 4 other peeps to go GAZ when the protec ones are so cheep is unlikly.

Got the new CKC issue a couple of days ago. It's got some photos of Protechs used in all-weather conditions for several years. Ewww! Apparently the oxide layer on them from anodisation is not very thick.

If they've been used in all weather here in the UK I doubt anything will look good, the salt used on UK roads will destroy most finishes over a couple of years. Annodizing is measured in microns, so even the thickest may only be 25 microns.

AS John quoted ... the anodised layer will never be that much thicker than 25 microns as it stops conducting electricity beyond that (whilst anodising) it goes without saying that if you want any kind of corrosion resistance to be prolonged in this country you have to rinse off at the end of the drive (if you can of course) or as soon as you can. it is as simple as that.
