Fortunatly that's Blueshid ...

My Clarke is pants, I had a SIP beforehand which was much better. I would love a decent mig that gave consistent results every time it was used. It's one thign that the OXY set can be relied uppon.

TT, my tip for the website would be to replace the 1.1 MB BMP photo with a 50 KB JPEG one. You can use ImageMagick's convert utility on one of your Linux boxes to convert the pic and resize it to the right dimensions (browser image scaling is a faux pas).

Really nice review TT, like Spud says, owe you a beer

As for suggesting you buy the 2nd hand chassis............I know you had originally intended to buy a flatpack chassis kit, but when the full chassis became available at a fair price ......I know that you felt a pang of "hope Handy won,t mind " thoughts from the PM you sent me,
like you say in your review.........Saturn & Handy are there to be helpful to all builders & not just "sell parts"......

We totally understood why the attraction of the fully built chassis was too much not to consider it,
We both ( Spud & I ) are totally genuine in our "passion" for the Roadster & will always aim to provide a great service at a fair price but above all a genuinely helpful honest service to all builders .

Thanks for the great review ,

cheers
andy

Good review TT, it confirms my own thoughts on Saturn. I wish it was less than 400 miles for me to visit them They have always been incredibly helpful, the stuff I have bought from them ( chassis flat pack, brake kit, will be buying some GRP soon) has been of great quality and comes with terrific support.

Not sure why it was BMP in the first place, possibly cos I was not paying attention and using paint to rescale the image... Reworked in GIMP, but kept the image the same size as it's referenced elsewhere.
