Smile Another New Build

Hi All,

Been lurking on the forum for some time but this is my first post.

Build table almost completed and garage nearly cleared and ready.

Sierra 1.8 LX purchased and currently my 2nd runabout!

HandyAndy is currently in the process of cutting a flat pack chassis for me

Will post further news and pics as and when...

Cheers for now

Pete

PS Happy Birthday Andy

Cool Welcome to the forum

Welcome Pete

Off to a flying start with one of Andys pre-cut chassis packs (Wish I had that option when I started my build )

Donor too

Look forward to following your build progress

Welcome Pete.

I'm only down the road from you, in Sutton. So if you are ever stuck for a tool, or need any help, then give me a shout

I too wish I had had the option of one of Andys flat packs.

Pete,

Welcome, enjoy your build,

I only started a while back and am quite jealous that you have your donor.

Good luck.

Andy's flat pack arrived overnight after being dispatched (275 miles). But I wasn't in to receive it

Re-delivered next day.

Chassis tubes sorted into groups and build table completed .

Just honing my welding skills as have never welded before prior to being let loose on the bottom rails...

Good news on the arrival of your flat pack chassis

All I can say is........Practice, practice & more practice before starting to weld the tubes in anger

A little destructive testing is helpfull, it'll let you know if the weld has good pentration.

Try and keep your tack welds small & hot ( You'll be glad you did )

Enjoy the build
