Default Front Hubs

Does anyone know if the sierra front hub oil seals are available on their own or do they only come as part of a kit ? I have stripped my hubs down and the bearings are OK but I don't want to put the seals back as they will almost certainly be damaged now.

It might be possible to get the seals from your Local Ford dealer.

Sometimes it is often possible to get this type of seal from a decent bearing dealer.
I have quite often managed to source obsolete seals this way

Here is a link that may be local to you

Bearing Services ltd ( BSL )

You can still order from your friendly Ford dealer at a cost. I can't remember how much but I remember thinking that's Bl**dly expensive.

Has anyone managed to get hold of these seals? I'm in the same situation that the bearings all look good, the hubs are cleaned up and now all I need is the seal (and not a full bearing kit).

Looking at ebay the complete bearing kits seems to be around £15-20 and I'd rather avoid that if I can.

Ta.

Try local motor factors, probably cheaper for full kit than e-bay.

Blimey... so went to the local motor factos... £31/side

Oil seals can't be bought seperately from them... surely there's an easier (cheaper) way?

That'll be about £15 trade then .... My local factors are a pain in the ass when it comes to dishing out the trade disscount

As Ash says .... I'll be most surprised if your local bearing company are unable to get the seals for you
