I buy my steel in 7.5 mtr lengths and what i did NO offence to Handy Andy was used his cutting list but insted of doing it in the order he had it in put 7500 into my calculator and minus for example a,b,c,d,e,f, and say 500mm left but the next cut in line would be say 750mm i then looked for others to fill it bearing in mind the cutting blade for each length has to be allowed and I got it down to 5 lengths saving me buying 1 more.

if this helps
I have read it back and its seem fine

Did you use hot or cold rolled steel for the plates?

Thought it would be hot rolled as it sounds like it's stronger than cold rolled?
