Personally I do not forsee Haynes having a problem with the name Haynes Roadster Club !!

After all that is the logo in the book & also the name designated for the Roadster.

Provided the club do not sully the Haynes brand I am sure they would willingly support the formation of such a club

Subscription may be a little low at £5 .... Admin costs can certainly add up quickly & it would be nice to fund a basic web domain dedicated to the club.

I totally agree with you Ronnie, with regard the "Haynes" brand connection, but would need to contact Haynes themselves to confirm,

Also agree regarding a subscription fee, but thru this thread and the forum membership a figure could be agreed to .

I know just the man with regard the domain thingy......he,s on this forum & already has a related domain name, I just didn,t want to name him without his input on this thread

cheers
andy

A little progress on the web design. Still just sorting out the general look and then once happy with that I will turn that into a template for a CMS, Probably Joomla as I know that the best and it has a lot of Plugin options.

Anyway here's the latest. Comments welcome.

I'm liking the look of that MM. I presume that will be a menu on the left, main content in a scrollable window in centre and pictures on right?

Pretty much, though with the CMS I am planning on using, anything can literally go anywhere you want and can be changed at any time so the main menu could be on the right and the pictures on the left. There will also be a login area and depending on other factors maybe a top menu for categories if that is deemed necessary. The centre window will not be scrollable but the entire page will be. Best practice is to not need much scrolling and have links to more details or the whole article if a new item or whatever.

Davey, Look at my site in my signature. That's based on the Joomla CMS.
