Default Front Shock mount alignment

Am I wrong in thinking that if I lift up the bottom front wishbone that the shock mount on it should be perfectly in line with the top shock mount on the chassis? Mine aren't on either side, they are about 3-4mm out.

Thought I'd ask before cracking up.

Buy front shocks that are rose jointed and leave them as they are, simples.

3 to 4 mm out side to side ? If so will the shocks still fit with some washers ? If so you're ok.

If you mean the wishbones move 3 to 4 mm in an arc compared to the top shock mount you've got a twisting motion and it will wear out your shock bushes. Rose jointed shocks are a solution but the best thing to do is sort out the miss alignment.
