Default Atlas axle, is my crush washer knackered??!

Well, I have a pinto powered locost, pretty much built as per the original book.. my axle has developed a rattle. The pinon oil seal 'dust shield' is loose and rattling. Is this the curse of an atlas axle when the pinon bearings need doing?? Its done a few runs at santa pod, and a track day at Goodwood, but it was on the way home from MOT I noticed the rattle!!! I'm assuming its a new crush washer and some bearings required, but anyone can shed some light be appreciated!!!

Seek a specialist repair, the pinion crush tube needs to be torqued to set preload and pinion mesh to avoid wear and noise if not set properly.

If at first you dont succeed, avoid skydiving...

No parachute require to freefall, only if you want to do it twice.
