Default 7.5" diff bracket postioning

Been having a bit of trouble with diff mounting plates cp10.
For starters the plate seems to be about 5mm too big, checked book and it is spot on. I'm pretty sure everything is correct.
Anyone else have this problem?

Next problem I have included a picture of diff with brackets fitted, as you can see the brackets have to be positioned unevenly, do I just ensure input shaft is central? and there is a 14mm gap at the bottom right bolt position. I'm guessing a 14mm spacer will do between there.

Has anyone else used a 7.5" sierra diff?
