I must admit that overheating is one thing im paranoid about. I keep an eye on the guage all the time. I think its because my last kit suffered from it.

I am due to get my new alternator belt tomorrow so will fit it and see what damage there has been. I'm interested in where the steam was coming from though

You might find a split hose by the sound of it,if you used the old ones.

Once mine is done the warning lights will be in wind deflector on the scuttle.

That's a good idea. A winter mod for me I think. The silicone pipes that I used going into the idle control valve were very cheap and flimsy so it's probably them that has gone. They have no reinforcement in them

I found a small pipe under the throttle body and it had a small hole in it. Luckily a piece of 8mm fuel hose fitted perfectly!

I've ran it for about 30 mins and all seems fine
