Triumph 1500TC
Could this be used I might have the option of getting one. And was wondering if it would be any good it's rwd. I'm new to this and have no idea so any help is great!!!

If this is the rear wheel drive version I think the engine and gearbox could be made to fit but the back axle is a live axle. You could get round this by using the Ron Champion Locost book or by using the rear of the Locost chassis on a Roadster frame. The front hubs are unsuitable so you'd have to source some Cortina hubs (Locost) or Sierra hubs (Roadster).
If it's the front wheel drive version you'd need to source a gearbox too - probably not worth the hassle. It's pretty confusing, using two different drive trains in the same body! Cheers Chris Last edited by Chris Gibbs : 3rd August 2009 at 09:03 PM. |

Hi chris thanx for the reply I think I'm going to get a sierra, an do it as the book tells me just now.
Just had the option so I thought I would try and get some more info. Cheers |
