Default Removing clutch cable from Merkur donor

Hello all,

I am in the process of stripping down my donor car and am puzzled by how to remove the clutch cable from the bellhousing. I removed the clip and the cable came partly out.

What's the next step? I wish I had a repair manual for this thing.

Mark

If you don't need the same cable for your donor. Or your wasting hours of time, just do what I did, and cut the cable off.

Hi, most fords have a cover covering the end of the fork in your photo it looks like a metal one, pull this off and you can then see the end of the cable which you push through and slide sideways then pull out hope this helps. Ray

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if I need the cable yet or not so I'll try to see the end of the cable and slide it out. Otherwise, the bolt cutters are standing by.
