Default Handbrake Cable Routing

Hello

Got to the stage yesterday of fiitting out the back fo the car with all the wishbones, driveshafts etc -

Next time I'm down the garage I am goign to try and start fitting out the brakes and handbrake cable. I was wondering how and where everyone has run the cables - in particular above or below RS4 and have you fitted any brackets to support the cables.

Any pictures would be much appreciated.

Cheers

on my set up( drum brakes ), the cable is routed thru the diff cage, it naturally rests just above the diff, but i have put some large rubber bungs over the cable where it "might" come into contact with the diff ( don,t think it actually will, but thought it would be "attention to detail for IVA man),
then it naturally flows to the front of the drums, i,ve rivetted some P clips to the diff cage to hold the route of the handbrake cable in place, it runs above the drive shafts but will not come into contact with the driveshafts even at fully compressed suspension travel.

I wanted it thru the diff cage as would like the area above to hopefully become my boot........some day

cheers

Excellent - thanks for that Andy. I had the same thoughts on the luggage space

I'm going to put a false floor in the boot after iva (as my fuel pipes run over the top of the diff cage too).

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.
