I remember going up the local garage for my Dad when I was a lad ( 10'ish)
1 shilling 10d a gallon  47p a gallon when I passed my test, seemed like a fortune at the time

How long would it take now to collect a full set if you used to get one with a fivers worth in comparison to the price of fuel these days, think I would be applying for my renewal of license at seventy before I got a full set
