Hi Spike.

Thats not a bad list at all. I see somebody else noticed i had put the side repeaters on the rear wings. My inspector didn't really like them there but as they were the right distance from the front of the car they passed. I got mine from CBS.

Mine also over heated at the test but he kept going anyway, in fact we did most of the test with the bonnet off to help with the cooling.

I was going to PM you today to see what you had done about your cooling system. I have a definite issue with mine. Fine whilst you are moving forward, but not when you stop at traffic lights. I think we might have to get our heads together on this one.

Good luck with the rest of it.

They can be a bit of a pain to bleed the Cologne Engines so you may have air locks.

May be worth venting the bonnet too.

Just a quick update, after few Saturdays of tweaking and minor alterations, I have completed everything to keep the IVA Inspector happy including all the additional items that he mentioned in general conversation.

I have a re-test date of the 20th May 2013, so its just a matter of waiting it out a bit longer! I missed completion for Stoneleigh this year, but not sure I would want a 3.5 hour journey each was as a test run!

Have you got your date yet Baz, or is it a closely guarded secret?

Sure it will come soon Baz, mine was about 3-4 weeks before the letter came, then I had only 1 week before the date to prepare!

The good news for me is that the DVLA have now formerly registered my VIN Number and sent all the relevant forms and procedures. I will have them drafted out and in the post the second I get the IVA certificate!

Twin, if the car passes than that would be great, however half term does not mean much to me just yet!, so just let me know nearer the time when you are down.

Its finally re-test day - taken a day of work to get the car on the trailer and up to the test centre. My appointment is mid afternoon. Feel calm but was up early as could not settle! Luckily the IVA inspector is a really nice chap so kind of looking forward to it!
