Default Introduction

I guess it's time to introduce myself.

I'm Roger from Manchester and sold my GTM Lbra last year. Since then I have been thinking about what to build next. It has to be track orientated with enough storage/comfort for an annual road trip through the Alps.

I am planning the build of an MX5 based Haynes that will be supercharged to around 250bhp/200lbft. I am eagerly waiting for the Vodou/ Talon kit to be finished then I can get started on the chassis.

Instead of the traditional body panels I will be using a full body in the style of a Healey 3000 on steroids

I think mine will be in white with black detail, wheels etc.

I currenty run the supercharged MX5 1999 mk2 so will be using this as the base car and selling off the parts I don't need. Hard top, leather interior, suspension, roll bars etc so hope to make a decent amount £2000+ I expect. I will be trying to use as much from the donor as possible and resist the temptation to buy those extra bits that soon double the build cost!

Luckily my good mate Dave is a coded welder. He has decided that my welding is crap and he shall be taking care of that with me only being allowed to tack the chassis together. Probably a good move really

So please excuse the stupid questions I will be asking over the coming months and when I have something to show I will start a bit of a build thread.

Cheers

Rog

I like your idea for the body, probably be a lot aerodynamic too.
