Default Which chassis?

I am looking to use an omega as a donor car which is wider than a sierra as used by Chris Gibbs. But the chassis built by Ron Champion is wider, so am i better off going for the wider chassis or the narrower chassis?
will it look odd? also im pretty certain there would be less strain on the wishbones if they are on the wider chassis as they would be shorter.

I thought the haynes roadster was 2 inches wider than the Ron Champion locost?

Have you looked at the McSorley chassis which is 4 inches wider?

The Locost and Mcsorley use a solid rear axle, not IRS

You could use a McSorley 442 chassis with a DeDion back axle. Strip the hubs from the Vauxhall uprights,it might be easier than trying to match up to the multi link mounts. Although I'm not too sure if thats correct seeing that it been a long time since I've worked under one.

Anything spelt De Dion is reverse engineering the concept of a lightweight sports car.

Modified rear uprights to fit and keep the IRS concept and adatpt to your needs.

Thanks for the comments, i think as flyerncle said il modify the uprights i am concerned about the width of the car being too wide but im sure i can modify to suit.
