I put a remote filter on mine. I found using a smaller one, Renault 5 turbo I think looked ideal with a enough clearance but round the track found it rubbed anyway.

Put the remote on for piece of mind.

brillent just took engine out and the shaft to the rack hitts u1.
anyone else had this problem?
i did have to fit 3mm of packing for my upper rear wishbone mounting

fixed it i used a thinner type part from a early sierra and a thinner extension tube and now have 3mm air gap
