Default mx5 pod filter and air flow meter?

hey guys, I want to fit a pod filter and air flow meter to the car in a different place. Just run a 2.75 inch silicon hose to the air flow sensor then attach the pod to the end of that. But what about all the hoses that connect to the OEM air box at the trottle body end of the set up? what do I do with these?

cheers
john

I just bought some pipe take offs from ebay. I shortened the inlet system quite a bit and there doesnt seem to be any problems

I dont know what the pipes do. possible idle valve?

Saturn MX5 Based Chassis, Limited Slip Diff & 2.4 Quick Rack.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.
