Default Some progress at last!

Well, started back at work last week, so things can continue on the build. Today was a great milestone for me - Got the engine running!

Think it may be only running on 3 cylinders, but its hard to tell with a loose exhaust manifold and whilst keeping the engine running with the throttle (needs fully mapping still).

But atleast it runs which is a start!

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

Cheers guys.

Forgot to mention, i have an inline fuse holder going to the middle wire of the coil, which keeps blowing (5 amp fuses). Any ideas why? Something to do with the missfire??

(i took it out in the end as i only had 2 fuses)

Thats more like running on 2 but a great start. Is it carbs or Tb's check they are ballanced as that can make a big differance.

Cool Well done

Well done David, that is a huge milestone to reach

You have certainly come a very long way in a short space of time.

Apart from checking all of the wiring connections & plug leads, perhaps you will be able to find someone willing to share a basic map for your MS1

Sure you'll soon get it running spot on
