I was expecting 6 weeks when i put my application in, then they phoned me up after a couple of days and offered me a date for the following week...

Settled on a date in 2 weeks time, just gave me enough time to complete. I think they just say 4 weeks to process to cover their asses. Put in the application and see what happens.......

We use them for VIC checks regularly and sometimes they will give you a time the same day, depends on their workload and as Spud says they are covering their rear by saying 4 weeks.

I think I sent mine in on Thursday they called me Friday. im just waiting on the local station to call me now and confirm my exact date.

i got all my evidence back this Monday so real quick turn around at the moment by the looks of it.

if you want to speak to the actual people that process the forms call the main number and ask to be put through to approvals.
