Hi,

Yes there is at least one other SA builder who was on not so long ago.

Welcome to the forum and the Roadster.

There are a couple of builders in S.A. I,m sure they,ll be along soon to say hi.

Best wishes for your build, its a really friendly forum, there is a search function on the forum but if you can,t find the answers you need then I,m sure there,ll be a forum member that will help with the answers.

cheers

Default Plenty of builders

Japheth,

"Are they anybody building a chassis currently?"

Yes plenty of builds in progress have a look here:

http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=4393

It's a thread with alot of links to builds in progress and completed builds, diaries, blogs, gallaries etc.

There are also plenty underway which are not so public (mine for instance).

So all in all there is plenty of experience and advice on this site for when you get started.

Here's something that can be very helpful: In your profile you can add a location and this will appear in the details in the top right of your posts. Need not be too specific, but it helps if you have 'special needs' e.g. there maybe country specific legislation or some one near by may be able to lend you a 'wot not do dah' if they have some idea where you're based.

Welcome.

Hi

Welcome to the "club". I am a builder in Jhb, SA. Have got past the chassis stage, working on bodywork etc at the moment. Have all the running gear etc ready to go in (Toyota 1.6 20v), hopefully that happens early 2011!
