Default quick rack 2.4 vs 2.9 ratio.

Still on my shopping list. Which of the quick racks is more suitable, 2.4 or 2.9 ratio? I am going for a v8 and am wondering if i could get away with the 2.4 if i fitted one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corsa-C-Electr...item3cb8fba80e , the rally boys fit them on the escorts or is it going to be light enough without?

Bob

Unless you have problems with your wrists or elbows you won't need a powered rack, although it's best not to go too small with your choice of steering wheel or too wide with the tyres.

When the rear steps out you don't want to be flapping about with the steering wheel trying to catch it...so go with a quick rack and stay away from stupid wide rims/tyres on a 7, it looks pants and plays havoc with the handling.

Default quick rack which one?

Was going with the quick rack anyway but fancied the 2.4 ratio. just wondered if it was to much with the v8 when it comes to parking? is anyone running the 2.4 ratio with a car engine?

2.4 on the one I built to race, smallish wheel and no probs with zetec in except for lots of oversteer.

2.4 in mine with a car engine, it's the way to go! I was told it could be a bit twitchy but I'm really happy with it.

i have got the 2.4 on mine. think i liked the 2.9 more for road driving but the 2.4 makes so much sense on track. there isnt much in it tbh.
