Smile Posting pictures

I thought this may be of some help to some of our new members !!

Perhaps some of the computer boffins can add to this post.

Posting pictures

Tis quite easy once you get the hang of it.

This is how I manage

Use a photo sharing site such as Photobucket or Flickr or the likes

Plenty out there & free to use

Upload your images to your chosen host.

I use Photobucket, it will allow you to resize the image when you upload.

Once the image has been uploaded, look for images code ( Web address ) .
Should look something like this: http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...e/100_0269.jpg .......Will have [img] either end though.

Right click on the image code & choose copy

On your forum post, click on the insert image button on the tool bar at the top.
You may be prompted to allow scripted windows ( I do )
Click on the prompt & choose to allow scripted windows.

Click on the insert image button once more & right click on the text box that pops up & paste the image code in the box. Then click ok.

This should bring up a photo within your post.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I believe that you can post images that are on your computer.....Don't know how to do that though

Probalby easier ways to post photos but it works for me

That’s exactly how I do it Ronnie but obviously I don’t re-size I will start doing that.

What is a good size for posting on the forum?

Cheers Ginge

I re-size mine to 160 x 120 pixles

They come out this size

Oh.........I just found out by accident.........It also works if you just copy the image code, then paste it into the text that you are typing

As long as it has the [IMG] at the front & rear of the text.

Cheers Ronnie,

Cheers Ginge

That was a cock-up on my part !!?? ( Should have gone to Spec savers )

Drilled the top holes in the wrong place

As I had used an off-cut of 10mm flat bar that was kicking about, I didn;t see the need to fill the spare holes in

Well spotted though

Ronnie,

I only noticed it because I have been having a close look at the very same plates that I got from 3GE and noticed that the holes are not equal distance from the ends of CP 10.

My question is which way up do they go, one end the hole is 25mm from the end and at the other the hole is 31mm from the end so 31mm end up or down?

Proper hijacked this thread sorry! I’ll go in a minuet

I have just had a quick measure up, quite difficult to get an accurate measurement now its fitted.

I would say that the 25mm distance is the one at the top.

Going to urge caution though............ I cut theese parts to the book length but because I had used thicker plate, I had to fettle a fair bit off to get them to fit in. !!??

I have test fitted the diff & am pleased with the fitment.
This was done whilst still on the build table.

Used an engineers square. The diff flange was absolutely plumb both up/down & side to side.

May be worthwhile having a re-read of the book though

ronnie

i dont know if its my eyes playing tricks or not but every time i see your chassis it looks more and more red.

ginge you may find that you have to trim a couple of mm off the dif plates that weld to the chassis. also dont forget to grind the edges of the plate down to v's so that its easier to weld.

I think the Alloy shows the Red in its full glory

Going to have to tone the visible parts down a fair bit !!??

Beginning to get on my nerves.........Seemed such a good idea at the time ??

Going to clash big time with the colour Red that I have chosen for my bodywork

It'll end up Black..............I just know it !!
