Default escort mk2 clamp bushes

can anyone help with this
i have a new escort steering rack no clamps no bushes for the clamp
how do you replace the bushes under the clamp as i cant figure it out

I believe most folk will replace the rack clamps with solid ones

Alloy Rack clamps

Probably a lot cheaper than trying to replace the OEM ones & will hold the rack a little better

25 quid for two lumps of ally? Isn't it a bit too dear for what they are?
Am I an irresponsible cheapskate for planning to bend my rack clamps out of 3 mm steel strip?
