Default 2 Aluminium fuel tanks 4 sale

Hi guys....I have made a couple of long range fuel tanks mainly to practice my TIG skills which I am glad to say are fine......ok the tanks ...I have made them with the saturn rear tub in mind so the angles follow that, they are made from 2mm aluminium and have a single baffle in the centre, they both have a surge tank welded to the bottom right of the tank looking from the rear, fill point and one vent and fuel return again on the right. Capacity is 8.2 gallons..... one minor stumbling block is the location of the surge tank will mean the relocation of the CP8 which is not too difficult....one has a turned cap with o ring ...one open for a rubber pipe.....here are a few photo's.......looking for £100 + p&p....each

Wasn't there a group buy on tanks a couple of weeks back?
These look go though, I want a longer shallower one to keep the boot space for weekend camping trips otherwise I would have ripped your arm off at that price!

Hi there,

I am interested in one of the tanks.

Can you tell me the height of the main body of the tank please?

Also, presumably the tank that you are going to use will be similar, I was wondering what fuel level sensor you are using (is it the sierra one?)

Cheers,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan both tanks are 310mm high ....360mm to top of filler....I am undecided as to which tank I intend to use so still unsure as to which sender to get ...I may just get a universal one from ebay (around £24 with differing float lengths) One thing I am sure of is I am installing a long range tank as I don't want to be "sweating it out" trying to locate a fuel station, I also have another tank in the fabrication stage that has a 12gallon capacity. Both of the above tanks are up for grabs.....they have been pressure tested and there are no leaks.
yes all the tanks are at least 310mm high and yes the one I use will be as well
just drop me a pm if you want one.

One of the tanks now gone (the one with the turned cap).....other one is still available if any one wants a cheap Ally/sumped/baffled tank.

Do you fancy using your TIG to produce one for the mx5 sender? The ones you have built so far look really good!

Saturn MX5 Based Chassis, Limited Slip Diff & 2.4 Quick Rack.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.
