Default 2 years 10 months later....

Hi old friends and new members

After just over 2 years off from the build i am now back and proud to say i havent had to give it up even though it came close, the main reason being saving every penny we could get to get married in september last year and now the honeymoon period is just about over i am finally allowed back in the garage haha.

I have spent the last 3 weeks removing a rushed paintjob i did with hammerite using nitromors and quite a few wire brush drill attachments and i have now bought some HMG primer and chassis black paint to do it right this time.

Also spent quite a few hours with my new toy (Dremmel) getting rust off the front hubs, rear drums and various other parts, bought the mushroom inserts, drag links, maxi joints etc and cant wait to bolt them all on, oh i bought a rear upright kit off ebay aswell and got that welded together
i think thats about all ive done for about 6 weeks now.

Great to be back into it again,

Andy.

Hi Andy,

I think quite a few of us are all in a similar situation! My wedding is in Septetember, and being so close to putting the car through the IVA after 47 months, its frustrating not being able to complete due to watching the pennies. Glad you haver kept your motivation going.

Maybe next year we will see some of the old skool builders get their cars on the road.....

Welcome back.
Congratulations for your getting married and also for your great patience and getting your priorities right.

you'll probably enjoy the build more for having waited so long

Does it really matter when it gets built? Its just a hobby build for fun as and when time/ money permits. Seeing it through to the end is the only important thing whenever that may be
