Default Bonnet vents

I have cut out the scoop in my bonnet and cut out a triangle on each side to aid airflow

So just thought i would share a snap with you all to see what you think!

They are filled in with some black mesh attached with a hot glue gun

It wasnt the most fun thing i have done taking an angle grinder to an absolutely perfect bonnet

The reason i did it is all the air coming through the nose and rad has no where to go except under the car or down the tunnel. This also meant my carbs were sucking in hot air, so the thinking was that the triangles help let some air out and the scoop some cool air in

The coolant temps were ok but the engine is running cooler with the added ventilation

Mark,

They look good; it must have been a leap of faith cutting into the bonnet like you say. I have only had to drill four holes in my nose cone so far that was bad enough.

Looking Good.

Cheers Ginge

All you need is some go faster stripes.

Got me cams coming tomorrow, working late tonight so i've got a few hours free tomorrow to fit them. You'll know when i have cos you'll probably hear the launch from Billigham.....
