Default Speeduino Engine Management?

I have been dabling with Arduino Micro controllers every now and then, until recently I have not had any firm projects but have actually got a number of applications now.

Pond Control
Alarm
Moving Head DMX lamp
Ligthing Desk DMX...

Whilst doing research and brainstorming for these ( Including finding a Buzzer and programming it to play the 5 notes from "Close Encounters")

I came across the speeduino engine management system.

It seems like a reasonable project mounting a sensor/driver shield on a Arduino Mega.

I doubt it would come close to a MeggaSquirt but it's interesting all the same.

A built Shield is $160 but I don't know about shipping to the UK or indeed if it is even worth playing with.

It looks like it actually hails from Australia.

Anyone seen or used it.

TT
