I have hardwired perm 12 to pin 1 and switched 12 to 37 and 57. I have not hardwired the coil +ve though. Will have a look and see if it has 12V on it.

Actually - a quick thought. Does the coil have 12 v one side and the other side get switched by the ECU / ignition amplifier?

Coil negative is switched my the ingnition amp

coil +12 is ignition live via imobaliser

and injector system voltage is fed from relay XI , but you should have back feed if your living up 37 & 57.

The Black Pin on the 8 pin oval plug ( C2053 ) is you ignition live feed that would come from Relay XI.

Hi TT - Some progress!! I have been drinking beer too, I had to do a barbie earlier and it's illegal in Bracknell to cook without drinking beer I have now got a spark and the pump kicking in when it should. I had missed the live off the ignition amp when connecting the live direct to the coil. It's one hell of a bleedin' spark on it - does the coil take the full 12 volts? There is a small component near the coil that I can't identify. It is in the black wire - it terminates in a 6mm threaded terminal. Is this a ballast or something? I know the green wire has a suppressor in it but this is something else.
Thanks for the help so far, I feel the smell of exhaust fumes is ever closer...

Right, if you have spark, and the pumps running then finaly check you have +12V at the injectors on their black wire. If this checks out we should be running or at least firing.

I would pull the plugs and pop em on the barby for 15 mins followed by a light rub with some wire wool/ pan scourer/ wet'n'dry to clean em up... She wil probably fire after that.

yes it's a 12v coil.

The item in line is a filter or choke or something...

Pull the plugs now, will give the vapour in the cylinders a good chance to clear off before tomorrow.
