As far as I know it helps with the self centering along with other settings (caster,tyre pressures)

Hi jps, it looks like your question has been overlooked...........

Yes you do need a secondary fixing for IVA, get them in the right position for the IVA man then drill straight through the upright and mushroom and tap it M6 - from the rear there should be enough room. Put in an m6 bolt. Post IVA turn the mushies to where you get the feel you want then do it again. I've had a mushroom come out, luckily while going slowly round a left hand turn with my daughter in the car. It was an eye opener at the time so always make sure you have a bolt through there just in case.
