Default turning over

Hi all hope you are well
I have the electrics nearly finished now,so much so ,that the engine is now turning over but not yet firing up. What i need to know is the engine is a 2lt pinto with R1 carbs on,fuel pipe is on but a little nervous about putting petrol in and trying to start the car.On the carbs there is a little electric plug would anyone know what this is for and where it connects to or maybe not needed if anyone has the same setup if they could send me some pics to my email addresss that would be great

If it is a 3 pin plug I would imagine it is a throttle position sensor

If you were using a megajolt you would need it. From your previous posts I believe you are using the original coil & dizzy setup so there is no need to connect it.

You will however need to connect the vaccum advance from the dizzy to the inlet manifold. Make sure you connect into all the runners & not just one as you will get a pulsing effect happening to the timing advance.
