No worries, i will keep all posted. In good old GB I think it is hard to avoid the rain even in the summer!
So I am hoping it will be popular, certainly sound that way! I have kept the parts on the chassis that I think will be affected by the mods as per the book. That way if it fits my car it will fit yours if to book spec. Cheers

Brasscraft are going to make a screen for me as soon as i give them a template, they are also prepared to do a deal on ten offs. The weather gear is a problem because of all the variations of roll bars. a lad that works for me is a vw nut and does trimming for the club members. He is prepared to cut a pattern and knock them out but it would only be for the standard set up.It also seems painfully slow to amass enough numbers via the members to sell the stuff.
Just a few thoughts Bob

I'd be up for a group by on a windscreen as that'd be a good one to have ready for after the IVA and sort the wet weather gear much later on

I think the aero screen thing is a good idea, it must be worth a least a dozen less thngs not to worry about come iva time.

screen essential
I'm very interested in any further developments on the windscreen.
I'd like to get started on ordering a flat pack chassis , creating a space for the build and looking for an MX5 donor BUT given the weather we have for most of the year i'd find it hard to justify building a car without a windscreen. Really hoping there will be a solution to this. Chris . |

Ive got a Kawasaki ZX6R and high speeds in poor weather(I'm told ) can be fairly comfortable provided you wear the right gear.I dont think the lack of windscreen will be too much of an issue in the short term ---full face helmet and bike gear until windscreens can be organised.
If you are not a biker you can get decent s/hand stuff cheap on ebay |

I spoke to the great british sportscar company from Nottingham at the Stafford show last saturday and they are in process of making various bits for the haynes roadster, one of which is a windsreen. It might be worth giving them a call.
