Pedal box Plate location

Pedal box Plate location

Could anyone clarify which side of CP 16 the upright part of the pedal box goes? I have a MT75 Pedal Box Plate supplied by 3GE and it appears to fit to the front better than behind but the pictures in the book appear to show it fitting behind or towards the rear of the car
