Default D1 And D2

Hi

Can someone please help me, I have started to fit the diagonals to my chassis. However D1 and D2 dont look right. I know they will not line up perfectly with the uprights and top/bottom rails but I do not want any issues when fitting side panels.
Do I need to inset D1/2 so the allloy panel will fit flush between the upper/lower rails. Or do I line up the outside edge of D1/2 with the rails, if so, will the panel be shaped aroung the material that protrudes as a result of this?

Hope this makes sense to somebody

Middled mine if that helps.

If using an alloy side panel there is a fold there & should not foul those two diagonals.

I believe the Saturn side panel will not foul those either

Pesonally I doubt it will make too much difference if you middle them or set them to the outer edge. ( I middled them because it just looked to be the right thing to do )

Thanks Bonzo, yeah I think middling them would be the way to go. Still get strength but looks a lot neater.

Cheers, thats what I will do

I found it easyer to fit after I had cut them out of 19x19 & not 25x25
