Default new wings or full bodied?

I've been looking in to giving the Roadster a full bodied look with out having to wrap the chassis in a large and costly GRP blanket. I've come up with a pair of front wings that would give the same look as a full body but use the nose, bonnet and scuttle and just bolt them on under the bonnet shut line and side panels. The leading edges of the wings would be supported by a splitter that would bolt under the nose in to the chassis and may even give some down force.
Please excuse the naff MS paint pics I'm clue less with CAD although I'm part way through making these around a half size model chassis. Does this seem like a feasible design or am I just wasting my time?

I think it could give a good look to the front end and help with downforce whilst keeping the basic essence of the car the same. It would be very interesting to see a full sized mock up

That's a really nice looking concept Phil. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of your scale mock-up!

a full body is a nice option and design is almost endless in its possiblitys

take the thruxton gt its basicly a 7 style chassis with a modern grp body of a healey shape or fisher fury

both fine examples of good looking full bodys on 7 style chassis

Definately got potential,For me full body like Can Am car.

Use two side panels per side and 4 rear wheel arches to widen the car totally, simple (not) but an idea.

Simple curves and nothing fancy will be less hassle to produce.
